Dear TVHC Community, As many of you would be aware, the Hockey ACT Board met on Sunday and made the decision to postpone indefinitely the 2020 winter season, including all training, due to the global Coronavirus pandemic. This postponement is with the view to monitor the situation over the coming months, but it is unlikely the season will commence prior to May 2020, if at all. If required, HACT has the option of extending the season into October 2020. The TVHC Committee supports this decision as it is in the best interest of all players, officials and wider ACT community. In terms of TVHC Registration fees and potential for refunds, the Committee is awaiting formal advice from HACT as to our outstanding debts at this stage. Please bear in mind we have already conducted one week of training and purchased the new playing shirts to cover our projected junior and senior player numbers for 2020. We will provide more detailed information to our members in the coming weeks. Finally, HACT will be contacting all members this week with their most up to date information regarding the COVID-19 situation. Your health and the health of your families has been at the forefront of our decision making these past weeks, and we thank you all for your loyalty to Vikings Hockey. We have received a significant amount of positive feedback of late, and we are grateful for your patience and understanding during these uncertain times. Yours in Hockey TVHC Committee 23 March 2020 #SkolVikings
